Full-time, 10:15am-6:45pm, No Fridays, Off Every Other Weekend!

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good communication skills and pleasant phone technique as required handling various telephone and in-person communication with patients, guests, and other medical providers in a professional manner.
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work in a multi-task environment where interruptions may be frequent.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality as defined by hospital policy.
  • Ability to adapt to variations in scheduling (including but not limited to overtime, work schedule changes or low census).
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a teamwork philosophy.
  • Good personal hygiene.
  • Demonstrate ability to operate food service equipment.
  • Ability to prepare food in a safe and sanitary manner.
  • Ability to serve modified diets as ordered.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Obtain patient’s food like and dislikes/intolerance’s
  • Complete production sheets for next day.
  • Assist with patient tray line. Deliver and pickup patient trays.
  • Take temperatures of hot food items prior to serving and document appropriately.
  • Document patient’s food and fluid intakes on appropriate form.
  • Prepare cold sack items for Meals on Wheels.
  • Prepare hot/cold food as assigned for cafeteria.
  • Serve cafeteria customers.
  • Operate cash register in cafeteria
  • Checks cafeteria menu board as assigned and completes cafeteria menu change form as needed.
  • Restock and rotate cafeteria food items as needed.
  • Wash and put away dishes, pot, and pans.  Operate dish machine.
  • Take out trash and recycle items according to policy.
  • Sweep and mop food service area.
  • Complete weekly inventory as outlined
  • Assist with putting deliveries away as needed.

Shift: 10:15am-6:45pm, No Fridays, Every Other Weekend Off
