Woodlawn Health Cancer Care

Woodlawn Health offers a complete continuum of expert cancer care close to home; from prevention and early detection to diagnosis and treatment for most forms of cancer. Through Michiana Hematology Oncology, a board certified Oncologist/Hematologist (a physician who specializes in cancer and blood disorders) sees patients on a regular basis at the Woodlawn Health Cancer Center.

Our staff of board certified medical Oncologist/Hematologists, oncology nurses, and other healthcare professionals are dedicated to providing the community with outstanding services in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis and treatment. Patients and their families no longer have to travel long distances for check-ups and therapy.

If chemotherapy is recommended, patients are able to receive outpatient treatments at Woodlawn Health’s Cancer Center. An individualized treatment plan is discussed with patients so they understand all aspects of the treatment, including information about medications they will receive, the time frame for treatment, possible side effects, etc.

Woodlawn Health’s Cancer Center is designed to treat the whole person, not just the cancer, right here close to home. The Cancer Center is located on the second floor of Woodlawn Hospital, to the right of the elevators. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For further information about cancer services, please call the Cancer Center at (574) 224-1259.
