Doctors of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapists are highly educated with specialized focus on movement and recovery. Physical and Occupational Therapists are preferred providers to treat pain and dysfunction. If you are injured, have pain that does not go away, or a decline in daily activities that would benefit from therapy, you can contact our office and make an appointment without a doctor’s referral which can be beneficial for patients in many ways. If therapy is unable to help, we can refer you to the right healthcare professional. The benefit to the patient includes the following: cost savings,, quicker results, and more control over the care you receive. You and your therapist will develop a treatment plan that allows you to meet your goals quickly, efficiently, and cost effectively!

Occupational Therapy aims to return community members to their former level of independence with skills and adaptive tools when needed. These skills can be applied to activities of daily living, such as eating, showering, and dressing.

Speech Therapy evaluates and treats community members who have trouble communicating with their words or swallowing. Our team treats a wide range of ages. You do need a doctor’s recommendation to start speech evaluation and therapy.

Woodlawn also provides Athletic Training services for Rochester community Schools. Athletic trainers provide first aid and emergency care for athletes. They develop programs to prevent injuries and illness amongst athletes. They also help carry out rehabilitation programs following an injury to an athlete.
